Chhattisgarh Mallakhamb Association was formed in 2001 and registered video registration No. C. G.-112 in Bilaspur (CG) on 14/02/2002 under society registration act, Govt. of Chhattisgarh. The game of Mallkhamb was introduced in 1988 by individual person in state of Chhattisgarh. The president and secretary of the association are Mr. P.C. Shukla and Dr. R. K. Sharma respectively. The association started working effectively to raise the standards of the game in the state of Chhattisgarh with the help of qualified Coach from M.F.I. The game of Mallakhamb was popular in Bilaspur, Korba, Ambikapur, Pamgarh in Chhattisgarh region. The finances are arranged by associations members of association & donation from the autonomous bodies to meet expenditure for state teams participation in national tournaments. No non-technical person is placed as a Office bearer in the state association. It was affiliated with Mallakhamb Federation (Regd) India since 1999- 2000 and affiliation letter was issued on dated 04/02/2007 vide letter No. MFI/IV9AC)/2006-2007. At present, there are 16 district Associations affiliated to this Association. Chhattisgarh Mallakhamb Association is also conducting state Mallakhamb Chamionships since from 2016-2017 regularly. The accounts of the association are audited every year and are duly passed in the AGM. The State association has produced more than 106 male & 56 female players of national level. from urban and rural areas of state.
